Problem: Upon inspection of the below ground structure in this old farm cottage, it was apparent that water was freely rising through the concrete floor, from the surrounding ground.

What was done: We explained the merits of conforming to British Standard BS8102 ‘The Waterproofing of Below Ground Structures 22’ and the client opted for a programme of works that did not include any works to the walls.
